News from Holder at O+S 2016

At the O+S trade fair, which took place from 31.05.2016 to 02.06.2016 in Stuttgart, visitors were able to get a comprehensive picture of Holder and our news.

In order to illustrate the background and purpose of the numerous coating and processing options for metal and aluminium surfaces, the visitors were able to marvel at a vehicle body in which parts with all corresponding surfaces were installed at their typical installation location. This made it possible to gain insights under the sheet metal which a user of an automobile would not normally see and which illustrate how Holder’s know-how ensures the high quality of today’s vehicles.

A further highlight was dedicated to the topic of the new aluminium competence centre. In order to expand its claim to leadership in the field of lightweight construction by coating and machining aluminium components for the automotive industry, Holder opened a new location in Laichingen with a production and storage area of 20,000 square metres. The new location is logistically ideally located on the A8 motorway between Munich and Stuttgart. All processes in the field of aluminium processing (coating, heat treatment, mechanical processing, etc.) are concentrated there.

Unique selling points include coating systems with a product window size that enables the treatment of very large car body parts such as longitudinal beams made of die-cast aluminium or side parts made of aluminium sheet. A further advantage is that a wide variety of processes are mapped under one roof, from a single source, with complete interface and quality responsibility.

In order to underline this claim, Holder supports innovative young people on site. Two pupils from Laichingen were able to successfully participate in nationwide competitions with their innovations. With their invention of an automatic cocktail machine, which mixes every desired cocktail fully automatically in a few seconds at the push of a button, Swabian fiddly spirit is combined with creativity, innovation and technical know-how. Exactly the mentality that is also essential for Holder.
